Euskal Pilota Workshop

Did you know Basque Pelota has a London cousin? It’s called Fives, a traditional British sport played on squash-court-sized courts, with rules similar to our own Euskal Pilota.

The London Basque Society is organizing a free taster workshop, thanks to Stoke Newington School and the Rugby Fives Association opening their doors to us.

Come try it out in a friendly atmosphere! We’ll start with the rules, get some practice in, and then anyone who wants can play a few matches. The school has 6 courts, so there’s room for everyone.

This workshop is for everyone: complete beginners, the simply curious, and anyone who might want to keep playing afterwards. We’ll provide the balls and gloves, just bring comfortable clothing.

Afterwards, we’ll head to a nearby pub to keep the chat going.
